Alice Cooper, the original band, has made a striking comeback after more than five decades with the release of their new studio album, “The Revenge of Alice Cooper,” scheduled for release on July 25 through earMUSIC. Leading the charge is their first single, “Black Mamba,” featuring the iconic Robby Krieger from The Doors. This track serves as a potent reintroduction to the world of Alice Cooper, pulsating with classic riffs and an electrifying aura.

Described as a successor to their legendary albums like “School’s Out,” “Billion Dollar Babies,” “Love It to Death,” and “Killer,” “The Revenge of Alice Cooper” offers a thrilling dive into vintage horror and ’70s shock rock, encapsulating the essence, vitality, and audaciousness that defined the original Alice Cooper band. A poignant highlight of the album is the inclusion of a posthumous performance by Glen Buxton, the band’s original guitarist who tragically passed away in 1997. Through an unreleased recording, his original guitar part seamlessly intertwines the past and present on the track “What Happened To You,” adding a nostalgic layer to the album.

Further amplifying the excitement, a bonus track on the album includes a rare alternate version of “Return of The Spiders” from 1970, salvaged from original multi-tracks that were missing for half a century and revitalized by Bob Ezrin – the group’s long-time producer. Alice, Neal, Michael, and Dennis have reunited with Ezrin in a traditional recording studio in Connecticut, reigniting the spark from the ’70s. Their collaborative effort is a celebration of camaraderie, reminiscence, and the enduring sound that cemented Alice Cooper as a rock icon.

“The Revenge of Alice Cooper” promises fans a robust and sentimental journey that harmonizes the band’s illustrious past with their dynamic present. Each track, from the fierce intensity of “Black Mamba” to the rebellious vigor of “Wild Ones” and the haunting melodies of “See You on the Other Side,” encapsulates the essence of classic rock ‘n’ roll.

Additionally, the album will be available in various formats, featuring limited vinyl colors, a box set, and a limited art print (smart format) with exclusive access to bonus tracks and a high-definition download on release day. The tracklisting includes a diverse array of songs, offering a blend of raw energy, storytelling, and the signature shock rock elements that have defined Alice Cooper over the years.

The original Alice Cooper group revolutionized the rock scene in the early ’70s, melding raw, hard-hitting music with theatrical flair under the guidance of Bob Ezrin. Albums like “Love It to Death,” “Killer,” “School’s Out,” and “Billion Dollar Babies” propelled them to stardom, delivering timeless hits like “I’m Eighteen,” “Elected,” “School’s Out,” and “No More Mr. Nice Guy.” Their unique blend of hard rock, glam, and horror established them as trailblazers in the industry, leaving an indelible mark on rock history.

Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, Alice Cooper continues to shape the landscape of rock music, with “The Revenge of Alice Cooper” marking a significant return to their roots. The original band reunites for what promises to be an epic chapter, reclaiming their illustrious sound and legacy that solidified them as legends in the industry.
