In other news, Canberra’s punk rock festival, Dansonfest, is gearing up for its 2025 edition. The event will be headlined by Naarm/Melbourne trio Press Club and feature a range of other local and international acts. The festival will take place at The Baso on Saturday, with supporting acts set to perform at various venues across the city throughout the weekend.
Additionally, local bars and music venues will host a variety of live music events, jam sessions, and open mic nights throughout the week. Highlights include performances by Big Reef, All Day Breakfast, and Stella Eve at Dissent on Saturday night, as well as sets by JS and Perila at Gang Gang on Sunday. The week will culminate with a square dance event at Smith’s Alternative on Sunday evening.
