Matty Matheson joins forces with Daniel Romano and Alexisonfire’s Wade MacNeil to form hardcore band
Cooking sensation, entrepreneur, and television personality Matty Matheson has ventured into a new realm by forming a hardcore band called Pig Pen alongside Daniel Romano and Alexisonfire’s Wade MacNeil. Matheson, known for his extravagant culinary creations and roles in The Bear, has taken on the role of the band’s lead vocalist. MacNeil, a member of Alexisonfire, contributes guitar and additional vocals, while Romano, known for his solo work and as part of Daniel Romano’s Outfit, also plays guitar. The lineup is completed by Romano’s brother Ian SKI Romano on drums and Tommy Major on bass, creating a formidable group with a shared rhythm section from Romano’s other project.
Pig Pen is gearing up for their very first performance, scheduled to take place on April 25 at Sneaky Dee’s in Toronto. The band will be supported by fellow Toronto hardcore acts Best Wishes and Pluto’s Kiss, promising an evening of aggressive, high-energy music.
