Azkena Rock Festival finalizes lineup with Dinosaur Jr and The Damned among others
Azkena Rock Festival has finalized its lineup for the upcoming edition with the addition of artists like Dinosaur Jr, The Damned, Bobbie Dazzle, Cherie Currie, The Pill, and Eh, Mertxe! Ready to take the stage at Mendizabala in Vitoria-Gasteiz from June 19th to 21st. Single day tickets are already on sale at promotional prices.
New performers Kitty, Daisy & Lewis and Laurie Wright are set to light up the concerts at the Virgen Blanca Square. Back for a second year, Txiki ARF will offer a rock space for the little ones to enjoy too.
With each day now planned, here are the spotlight acts for each day of the festival. Thursday will kick off with Dinosaur Jr, while Friday will see John Fogerty and Lucinda Williams take the stage. The weekend will close out with Manic Street Preachers on Saturday.
The roster for the first day on June 19th includes Dinosaur Jr with J Mascis in the lead, joined by The Damned, Melissa Etheridge, Buzzcocks, Quique González, Libe, and Masters of Reality. Trashville will feature a mix of Wau y los Arrrghs!!!, Fléau, Gogoponies, Mambo Rambo DJs, and El Chico.
Moving on to Friday night, the iconic John Fogerty from Creedence Clearwater Revival will shine, alongside Lucinda Williams and Johnny Rotten. The lineup includes Public Image Limited, Turbonegro, C.O.F.F.I.N, Bobbie Dazzle, and more. Trashville will have Los Straitjackets, Escape-ism, Las Jennys De Arroyoculebro, and Thee Scarecrows AKA. Laurie Wright will open the night at the Virgen Blanca Square.
The festival will wrap up with Saturday headliners Manic Street Preachers, The Flaming Lips, Richard Hawley, and more. The lineup also features Eh, Mertxe!, Ezezez, The Lemon Twigs, and The Pill, among others.
