Lilly Hiatt to embark on Spain tour in November
Lilly Hiatt will embark on a tour throughout Spain this November, presented by Azkena Rock Festival and The Mad Note Co. This collaboration marks their first joint tour, announcing Lilly’s performance alongside her band in various locations across Spain, the daughter of the famous singer-songwriter John Hiatt will be showcasing her new album, ‘Forever’.
The latest album, ‘Forever’, is Lilly Hiatt’s sixth release, a deeply personal project. Recorded at her home studio with her husband, Coley Hinson, who also produced and played nearly all the instruments, the nine-track album reflects the recent changes in Hiatt’s life. Since its 2021 release, ‘Lately’, Lilly Hiatt has gotten married, adopted a dog, and purchased a house, all of which have found their way into her songwriting. Born in Los Angeles, but raised in Nashville, Hiatt was raised in a musical home and has been involved in music since the age of 12, releasing her debut album, ‘Let Down’, in 2012.
Lilly Hiatt has a unique approach to crafting melodies and a straightforward way of narrating stories about her life and worldview in her songs. In ‘Forever’, her diverse influences converge into songs covering various themes, from relationships to anxiety and mental health, to classic rock and roll.
Prior to the pandemic, Hiatt had released a couple of really acclaimed albums (Trinity Lane 2017 and Walking Proof 2020) that garnered a lot of attention. When the coronavirus hit, she had to stay at home and ask the tough questions, much like many of us did. She grappled with loneliness, alienation, and uncertainty, themes that are prominently featured in ‘Lately’.
