Giant releases lyric video for new single “Hold The Night” from album ‘Stand and Deliver’
Giant has recently shared a lyric video for their latest single titled “Hold The Night” from their upcoming album called ‘Stand and Deliver.’ The band, consisting of lead vocalist Kent Hilli, lead guitarist Jimmy Westerlund, bassist Mike Brignardello, and drummer David Huff, is set to release their new album on May 16, 2025, through Frontiers Music Srl.
The tracklist for ‘Stand and Deliver’ includes songs such as “It’s Not Right,” “A Night To Remember,” “Hold The Night,” “I Will Believe,” “Beggars Can’t Be Choosers,” “It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over,” “Stand and Deliver,” “Time To Call It Love,” “Holdin’ On For Dear Life,” “Paradise Found,” and “Pleasure Dome.”
According to Frontiers’ US Webshop, the band’s upcoming album signifies a new chapter in their longstanding career, featuring a fresh lineup that amplifies their unique sound to new, exhilarating heights. With David Huff on drums, Mike Brignardello on bass, Kent Hilli as the lead vocalist (known for his work with Perfect Plan), and Jimmy Westerlund on guitars (previously part of One Desire), the album promises to be a showcase of incredible talent. Additionally, Jimmy Westerlund will also be responsible for mixing duties, alongside Alessandro Del Vecchio, who will contribute on keyboards as a featured guest.
The album also includes songs written by the original guitarist and singer Dann Huff, such as “Time to Call It Love,” which is a collaboration with the late Mark Spiro, as well as “Holdin’ On for Dear Life” and “Paradise Found” from his sessions with Van Stephenson. These tracks strongly connect the new album with the classic sound of the album “Time to Burn.”
Giant, originally formed in the late 1980s by brothers Dann and David Huff, along with Alan Pasqua on keyboards and Mike Brignardello on bass, became highly respected in the melodic hard rock scene with the release of their debut album “Last of The Runaways” in 1989. Their subsequent album, “Time to Burn,” released in 1991, remains a significant influence on many bands in the melodic and hard rock genres.
Despite disbanding in the early 1990s due to changes in the music industry, Giant reunited in 2001 to release “III,” which played a crucial role in revitalizing the Melodic Rock scene in Europe. Over the years, the band went through various lineup changes and hiatuses, but their dedication to their music and fans remained unwavering.
Through different projects and collaborations, Giant’s original members, David Huff and Mike Brignardello, eventually found the perfect musicians to revive the band’s lineup and produce new music. With Kent Hilli on lead vocals, the band’s sound evolved yet remained true to its roots, garnering approval from fans and critics alike. The upcoming album, ‘Stand and Deliver,’ promises to deliver the same hard-hitting rock and melodic hooks that fans have come to love, while showcasing a modern production style that pushes the boundaries of the genre.
The anticipation and excitement surrounding the release of ‘Stand and Deliver’ from Giant highlight the enduring legacy and enduring appeal of this iconic band. With their latest single “Hold The Night” as a taste of what’s to come, fans can look forward to a powerful and dynamic album that pays tribute to the band’s history while embracing new and exciting developments in their sound.
