Marshall Tucker Band to headline Leesburg Bikefest
The Marshall Tucker Band, famous for their hit songs “Can’t You See” and “Heard It in a Love Song,” is set to headline the Leesburg Bikefest on Sunday, April 27th. The event, which will be held in downtown Leesburg, will feature a lineup of popular rock acts including Dirty Honey, Jasmine Cain, Fuel, and Lit.
Apart from the live performances, attendees can look forward to motorcycle stunt shows, bike competitions, food vendors, and various retail offerings throughout the festival. The current lineup of the Marshall Tucker Band features Doug Gray on lead vocals and tambourine, B.B. Borden on drums, Ryan Ware on bass and vocals, Marcus James Henderson on keyboards, saxophone, flute, and vocals, Chris Hicks on guitar and vocals, and Rick Willis on guitar and vocals. Together, they bring over five decades of musical experience and expertise to the stage, promising an unforgettable performance for fans of all ages.
Despite facing tragic losses over the years, the Marshall Tucker Band remains resilient and dedicated to their craft. Founders and brothers Toy and Tommy Caldwell, who passed away before this tour, continue to live on through the band’s music and influence. Toy, the original lead guitarist and main songwriter, tragically died in 1993 due to a heart failure caused by a cocaine overdose at the age of 45. Tommy, the band’s bassist, met a similar unfortunate fate in 1980 following a fatal automobile accident.
