Largest rock festival in California reveals lineup featuring Blink-182

Deftones, the distinguished band from Sacramento, recently dazzled audiences with a sold-out performance at San Francisco’s Chase Center. Following this success, the band was announced as one of the top performers at the West Coast’s largest rock and metal celebration. The 13th annual Aftershock Festival, happening from October 2-5 in Sacramento’s Discovery Park, revealed its impressive lineup on Wednesday, March 5.

Showcasing over 115 bands across four stages, the festival will feature prominent names including Blink-182, Korn, Bring Me The Horizon, A Perfect Circle, Rob Zombie, and Deftones. Deftones, fresh off their performance at the Golden State Warriors’ home, captivated their audience with a memorable show.

The Aftershock Festival promises to deliver a unique experience with a lineup that includes rare performances and reunions. From Cavalera’s rendition of Sepultura’s “Chaos A.D.”, to a Chiodos reunion and Dream Theater’s celebration of their 40th anniversary, the festival is packed with surprises. Additionally, fans can look forward to seeing Good Charlotte, Turnstile, Gojira, Lamb of God, Mudvayne, All Time Low, the All-American Rejects, Motionless in White, Acid Bath, Bruce Dickinson, Chevelle, the Dillinger Escape Plan, Taking Back Sunday, Hoobastank, Trivium, Black Veil Brides, and Kerry King gracing the stage. The legendary Death Angel and Exodus representing Bay Area thrash will also make an appearance.

Promoter Danny Wimmer expressed excitement about the festival’s anticipated growth in attendance. He mentioned that the previous edition of the festival in 2024 saw a huge turnout with 160,000 attendees, significantly contributing to the local economy. Passes for the festival are now available for purchase, offering various ticket options including flexible payment plans starting with a minimal $1 down payment.

Reflecting on the success of the Aftershock Festival and what it means for Sacramento, Visit Sacramento’s Mike Testa stated, “What began as a one-day event has become a totally immersive hard rock experience for some of the best fans in the world, and we’re excited that our city can be a part of it all.”
