Shinedown’s Song ‘Dance, Kid, Dance’ Reaches Top Spot on Rock Charts, Spring Tour Dates Revealed
Shinedown achieved a significant milestone as their latest single, “Dance, Kid, Dance,” soared to the top of Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart last week. With an impressive 2,007 radio spins, the song experienced a remarkable 123-spin surge compared to the prior week.
This achievement marked Shinedown’s 20th number-one hit, putting them in a tie with the legendary Foo Fighters, who also have 32 tracks occupying the top-ten position on various charts.
In addition to their recent success with “Dance, Kid, Dance,” Shinedown’s track “Three Six Five” is also making waves on the music scene. The song has climbed to No. 17 on the Alternative chart and No. 16 on the Hot AC radio chart. Furthermore, the song has garnered attention in the UK, with significant airplay on popular radio stations like Planet Rock and Kerrang Radio.
During an interview with Blabbermouth, Eric Bass shared the emotional inspiration behind “Three Six Five,” revealing that the song was a reflection on the losses he experienced, including the passing of his father, sister-in-law, aunt, and mentor in a span of just two years.
Produced at Big Animal Studio in Charleston by Bass himself, both “Dance, Kid, Dance” and “Three Six Five” beautifully blend heartfelt sentiment with expert production, showcasing Shinedown’s ability to transform personal struggles into impactful rock anthems.
Looking ahead, Shinedown is gearing up for their eagerly anticipated “Dance, Kid, Dance” tour, set to commence on April 25. The expansive 36-date tour will feature performances at iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and Bridgestone Arena. Special guest appearances from rock acts such as BEARTOOTH and BUSH are also slated for select shows, alongside country artist Morgan Wade, who will join Shinedown throughout the tour.
Before embarking on their extensive tour, fans can catch Shinedown bringing their electrifying stage presence to The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on March 2. With their chart-topping singles and a compelling tour lineup, Shinedown continues to solidify their reputation as an enduring force in the rock music scene.
