Louder Than Life announces lineup featuring Slayer, Deftones, Bring Me The Horizon and more

The upcoming Louder Than Life festival is set to be a grand event with a lineup that promises not only loud music but also a massive gathering of over 160 bands performing across six stages. Scheduled to take place from September 18 to 21 at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center, the festival’s headliners include renowned names such as Slayer, Rob Zombie, Avenged Sevenfold, Deftones, and Bring Me The Horizon.

Slayer’s Tom Araya shared his excitement about returning to Louder Than Life with a statement, exclaiming, “We’re coming back to Louder Than Life in Louisville. Get ready f*ckers!” This statement reflects the anticipation and energy surrounding the return of Slayer, especially after their initial reunion announcement in October. Festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents also revealed surprises in store for fans, including a global exclusive performance by Rob Zombie to mark the 25th anniversary of Astro-Creep: 2000.

In addition to the headliners, a diverse range of acts is slated to perform at Louder Than Life, captivating audiences with the likes of Marilyn Manson, Sleep Token, Breaking Benjamin, Bad Omens, A Perfect Circle, $uicideboy$, Evanescence, Knocked Loose, Three Days Grace, Lamb of God, Mudvayne, I Prevail, Spiritbox, All Time Low, Stone Temple Pilots, Cypress Hill, and Motionless in White. The festival aims to strike a balance between celebrating rock and heavy music legends while nurturing emerging talent, with Danny Wimmer explaining, “Louder Than Life has always been about showcasing the future of rock and heavy music while honoring the legends who paved the way.”

The event will feature unique sets and reunions, such as Acid Bath’s reunion, Insane Clown Posse’s farewell set, RA’s final performances, and The Union Underground’s celebration of their 25th anniversary with “An Education in Rebellion” and their first Kentucky show in over two decades.

Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon conveyed his enthusiasm for returning to America and performing at Louder Than Life, stating, “We are very thrilled to finally be returning to America. We have missed our fans dearly, and Louder Than Life is one of our favorite festivals to play.” The festival offers different ticket tiers, including general admission, VIP, and Angel Envy’s Top Shelf passes, each with unique benefits to enhance the attendee experience.

The festival also provides an Exacta Pass for entry to both Louder Than Life and Bourbon & Beyond, which occur consecutively. Accommodation options like glamping and RV camping are available, although they are currently waitlisted due to high demand. Since its inception in 2014, Louder Than Life has become a prominent rock festival, drawing over 150,000 fans last year and making a significant economic impact on the region, with more than $33 million generated in 2024 and substantial contributions to the local economy in Kentucky.
