Raissa Ramadhani shares excitement for debut album projects
Raissa Ramadhani embarked on a new endeavor in 2025 by preparing to release her debut album titled Rinduan Rindu. The 24-year-old singer, who has previously released several singles under Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, is now transitioning into a new phase of her music career. Along with the five previously released songs, Raissa is introducing new tracks with Fighting Once Again as the focal point.
Despite the similarities in the recording process for singles, Raissa admitted that working on this album had a unique emotional impact on her. While reflecting on her journey since releasing her first single under Sony Music, she described a mix of sentimental and exciting feelings. Collaborating with notable songwriters and vocal directors such as Om Irvnat, Kak Barsena, Kak Kamga, and Mbak Ayu added to the thrill of creating this album.
Assisted by the A&R team, Raissa spent 8-10 months curating songs for the album, facing challenges along the way. She noted that some songs carried heavier emotional weight than her previous releases, requiring her to delve deeper into conveying their essence effectively. With dedication and perseverance, Raissa was able to compile a collection that she is proud to present to her audience.
In a surprising twist, Raissa revealed that the album includes a song with a faster tempo titled ‘Usually Just’. Unlike her usual ballad style, this track exudes a cheerful vibe that can make listeners want to dance. Among the 10 songs featured on the album, Raissa and the Sony Music team selected Fighting Once Again as the focus track. The song resonates with the struggles of Gen Z in navigating challenging relationships, capturing the cycle of hurt and reconciliation that many can relate to.
Explaining the inspiration behind Fighting Once Again, Raissa shared her perspective on persevering in unhealthy relationships out of deep affection. She acknowledged the complexities of staying committed despite facing hardships, drawing from her own experiences to present a nuanced portrayal of individuals caught in tumultuous relationships.
