New shocking video footage has emerged showing the terrifying landing of a Delta Air Lines plane that ultimately flipped over on the runway at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The video captures the plane bursting into flames and then tipping over as it skidded along the snow-covered runway.

The dramatic footage shows flames engulfing the Delta Flight 4819 as it struggles on the ground in challenging conditions, including strong 40-mph winds that whip snow through the air. A massive blaze erupts from the back of the plane before transforming into a thick cloud of black smoke.

In the background, the person recording the video can be heard exclaiming, “Oh f–k! oh f–k! Oh no no no no no no!” Another voice can be heard contacting the Air Control tower, asking, “Tower, you’re seeing this plane just crashing?”

The intensity of the situation is palpable as the cameraperson continues to express shock, saying, “Oh my god. Oh my god,” as the footage captures the plane tipping on its side, shearing off a wing before flipping upside down on the runway.

Although the video captures the harrowing moments of the incident, miraculously, none of the 80 passengers and crew on board were fatally injured in the crash. Despite 18 individuals being taken to the hospital, none suffered severe injuries. The rapid emergency response to the partially ignited wreckage helped ensure that everyone was safely evacuated from the scene without further harm.

Emergency crews worked diligently to douse the flames with water as the plane remained belly-up on the runway. Subsequent footage displayed firefighters actively combatting the blaze to contain the situation.

While the exact cause of the plane flipping remains under investigation, initial reports suggest that the dry runway without cross-wind conditions should have made for a routine landing. The runway remained unaffected by adverse weather conditions, indicating that other factors may have contributed to the plane’s unexpected overturn.

The incident unfolded following a weekend snowstorm that blanketed the area with nearly 9 inches of snow, mandating crews to clear runways overnight to facilitate safe travel for incoming and outgoing flights.

This marked the first significant incident involving a commercial passenger jet since the tragic crash on January 29 involving an Army Black Hawk helicopter and American Airlines Flight 5342 at Ronald Reagan National Airport. Investigations are actively underway to determine the precise circumstances that led to the Delta plane’s inverted landing on the runway.
