Tennis is set to release their upcoming album “Face Down in the Garden” on April 25th via their label Mutually Detrimental. The album, produced and recorded by the duo of Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore in their home studio in Denver, CO, is introduced by the emotionally resonant first single, “Weight of Desire,” accompanied by a music video directed by Blossom Liu and Danny Gray.

Alaina Moore from Tennis reflects on the inspiration behind the new album, mentioning that the idea for the new music arose while they were still touring their previous album, Pollen. Despite facing numerous obstacles such as tire blowouts, engine failures, and health issues, they remained determined to create new music. The challenges they faced during this time only fueled their creative process, resulting in deeply symbolic and personal songs that capture their experiences. Moore explains that the songs in “Face Down in the Garden” are like vignettes of her life, each track representing a different moment or memory, such as a moment of connection, a conversation at a wedding, or a night spent at sea.

The duo is eager to share their new music with their fans and will be hitting the road to support the album from May 16th through early September, with tour dates across the United States in cities like Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Chicago, New York City, Austin, and Los Angeles. The tour is set to kick off at Swan Dive in Las Vegas and will culminate at the iconic Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. This extensive tour will give fans the opportunity to experience Tennis’ new music live and connect with the band on a deeper level.

“Face Down in the Garden” features a tracklisting that includes songs like “At The Apartment,” “Always The Same,” “Through The Mirror,” and “In Love (Release The Doves).” The album promises to be a captivating mix of heartfelt lyrics, dreamy melodies, and introspective themes that resonate with listeners on a personal level.

Tennis’ upcoming album and tour are a testament to the duo’s resilience and dedication to their craft. Despite facing numerous challenges, they have channeled their experiences into their music, creating a body of work that is both introspective and emotionally resonant. “Face Down in the Garden” is set to be a heartfelt and evocative album that showcases Tennis’ growth as artists and their ability to connect with audiences on a deeper level.
