“Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd Tops Billboard Hot 100 Charts
The top spot on Billboard’s list of the Top Hot 100 Songs of the 21st Century belongs to The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.” This ranking looks back at the most successful songs from the year 2000 to 2024. “Blinding Lights” claimed its position by maintaining an impressive 57-week run in the Top 10, with four of those weeks at No. 1, between February 2020 and April 2021. Abel Tesfaye, also known as The Weeknd, expressed his gratitude for this achievement, saying, “I don’t think [it] has hit me yet. I just count my blessings, and I’m just grateful.”
The rest of the Top 10 includes hits like “Uptown Funk!” by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars, “Stay” by The Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber, “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO featuring Lauren Bennett & GoonRock, “I Gotta Feeling” by The Black Eyed Peas, “Shape of You” by Ed Sheeran, “Last Night” by Morgan Wallen, “Closer” by The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey, “Levitating” by Dua Lipa, and “We Belong Together” by Mariah Carey.
