Tribute to Simon and Garfunkel: Upbeat Downtown Event in Harrisonburg

A musical treat is coming to Court Square Theater on May 30, 2025, as Forever Simon and Garfunkel, a Tribute, takes the stage. The duo, made up of award-winning singer-songwriters Sean Altman and Jack Skuller, came together in 2010 and have been touring since 2016. They formed Forever Simon & Garfunkel in 2020 to pay tribute to the iconic rock duo of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel.

The show promises to take the audience on a journey through Simon and Garfunkel’s teenage roots, early success as a folk act, global dominance as hit-makers, and even delve into Paul Simon’s solo career. The musical bromance and brotherly harmony between Altman and Skuller are enchanting and mesmerizing, making this a must-see performance.

According to CST Managing Director Justin Reiter, Upbeat Downtown is all about showcasing various genres and cultures, as well as highlighting local and regional artists. The doors open 30 minutes before each 7:30 pm show, with advance tickets priced at $30 for most concerts. The Lua Project, supported by a Virginia Touring grant through the Virginia Commission for the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts, has advanced tickets available for $25.
