HAIM, the rock trio consisting of talented siblings, has recently announced a highly anticipated release date for their fourth studio album, titled “I quit.” This new album is set to be officially released on June 20th on Columbia Records. The band excitedly revealed this news after teasing fans online and confirming the release at surprise shows held in Los Angeles at The Bellwether.

“I quit” is a 15-track album that showcases the group’s raw energy and expertise as seasoned performers influenced by classic rock. Produced by Rostam Batmanglij and Danielle Haim, the album is a testament to their deep respect for the genre, crafting songs perfectly suited for live performances. The striking album cover was captured by their longtime creative collaborator, Paul Thomas Anderson.

In addition to the album announcement, HAIM also dropped a new single titled “Down to be wrong,” a bold anthem celebrating self-preservation and self-prioritization. The song’s message is clear and empowering, with lyrics like “Don’t need you to understand, don’t know if you can” culminating in a defiant declaration of moving forward despite challenges.

The music video for “Down to be wrong” was directed by Bradley and Pablo, known for their work with artists like Harry Styles and Charli XCX, and features actor Logan Lerman. Fans can look forward to the video’s release tomorrow at 8 am PST.

This latest single follows the release of two other tracks from the album, “Relationships” and “Everybody’s trying to figure me out,” both of which received critical acclaim. Critics have praised the band’s return to music, noting the sleek genre-hybrid sounds reminiscent of classic Haim. With growing anticipation, fans can expect a cohesive and engaging album experience when “I quit” officially drops.

HAIM will soon be gracing the stage at various music festivals, including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on April 27th, as well as the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona on June 6 and Portugal on June 14. This album marks their first release since 2020’s “Women In Music, Pt. III,” which garnered them a Brit Award for International Group and two GRAMMY Award nominations.

“Women In Music, Pt. III” debuted at number one on various music charts, solidifying HAIM’s position as a force in the music industry. With their unique sound and captivating performances, HAIM continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences worldwide. Fans can expect “I quit” to showcase the band’s evolution and musical prowess when it hits music platforms on June 20th.
