Legendary rock icon Alice Cooper has made thrilling headlines by reuniting with his original band members for the creation of their first album in over 50 years. The highly anticipated album, titled “The Revenge of Alice Cooper,” is set to be released on July 25 and will feature all surviving members of the Alice Cooper Group, including guitarist Michael Bruce, bassist Dennis Dunaway, and drummer Neal Smith.

The album holds a special dedication to the late guitarist Glen Buxton, who passed away in 1997. Despite his absence, Buxton will still be heard on two tracks, such as “What Happened to You,” which was inspired by a demo tape by Dunaway and Buxton, as well as a box set-exclusive remix of a 1970 song titled “Return of the Spiders 2025.”

This groundbreaking reunion marks a significant moment in rock history as the original members of The Spiders from Phoenix, Arizona, have come together once again. From their early roots as The Spiders to being recognized as the Alice Cooper Group or Alice Cooper Band, this influential group paved the way for shock rock music and left an indelible mark on the industry before disbanding in 1974.

During their initial run, the band released seven albums between 1969 and 1973, featuring iconic hits like “School’s Out,” “I’m Eighteen,” and “No More Mr. Nice Guy.” Their impact was further solidified when they were collectively inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, honoring their enduring contribution to music.

Following the band’s split, Alice Cooper pursued a successful solo career, releasing over 20 albums and making notable appearances on movie soundtracks such as “Wayne’s World,” “Dazed and Confused,” and “Halloween.” Cooper also ventured into collaborations with various artists, including Hollywood Vampires alongside Johnny Depp and Joe Perry, as well as working with renowned bands like Guns ‘n’ Roses and Theory of a Deadman.

In preparation for their upcoming album, Cooper expressed his excitement at reuniting with his former bandmates, comparing the experience to riding a bike. The band also teamed up with esteemed producer Bob Ezrin, known for his work on some of their classic albums like “School’s Out,” “Love it to Death,” “Killer,” and “Billion Dollar Babies,” adding to the nostalgia and anticipation surrounding the release of new material.

Fans can expect a diverse range of tracks on “The Revenge of Alice Cooper,” with a mix of new compositions and revamped classics. The album’s tracklisting includes a cover of the Yardbirds’ “I Ain’t Done Wrong” and the standout single “Black Mamba,” set to debut on Cooper’s radio show, “Alice’s Attic.”

As Alice Cooper continues his tour as a solo artist, the reunion with his original bandmates after decades apart signifies a momentous occasion for rock music enthusiasts worldwide. With a blend of new material and timeless hits, the revival of the Alice Cooper Group promises to reignite the flame of rock and roll for both loyal fans and a new generation of listeners.
