New PETA video created after shooting of Franklin cat
oll said that an incident was reported on April 3 at 10:19 p.m. by Stacey Silliman, a resident on Rock Street. Silliman informed the police that her cat, named Noodles, had left home on April 2 and returned the next day with a limp leg. After observing that the cat had difficulty walking, she took it to an emergency veterinarian who discovered two pellets lodged in the cat’s paw and chest. As a result, she made the tough decision to amputate one of Noodles’ legs, incurring medical costs of $7,500. To help cover the expenses, Judy Henry initiated a GoFundMe campaign, raising $400 towards the $2,000 target.
It is essential to note the importance of providing a safe environment for cats. Cats that are allowed to roam outdoors face various dangers like abusive individuals, parasites, deadly diseases, predators, and vehicular accidents. Therefore, it is crucial to keep them indoors where they are protected from harm. PETA’s video series, starring Jaeden Martell, showcases different instances of cat-related violence across the country, aiming to raise awareness about these issues and promote responsible cat ownership.
If you have any information regarding the shooting incident involving Noodles, please contact the Franklin Township Police Department. Keeping cats safe and preventing such cruel acts from occurring is a collective responsibility that requires the collaboration of the community and law enforcement agencies. By advocating for indoor cat care and raising awareness about the risks associated with letting cats roam freely, we can contribute towards creating a safer environment for all feline companions. Let us all work together to protect animals and ensure their well-being.
