Halestorm reveals darkness in latest single “Darkness Always Wins”

Pennsylvania’s heavy metal band, Halestorm, is making a grand return with their latest single release in 2025. It seems that the group has a penchant for delving into the darker aspects of musical expression as showcased in their newest track, “Darkness Always Wins,” which is a riveting and emotionally charged song following their previous anthem, “can you see me in the dark?”

Frontwoman Lzzy Hale had some profound words to share about their latest work, saying, “‘Darkness Always Wins’ is not a song of hope or despair; it is a reflection of reality. It symbolizes the repetition of history, showcasing how evil often triumphs, and the righteous are the first to leave. However, we are not doomed as long as we persevere and keep the flame of hope alive. The battle may not be won in our lifetime, but our duty is to pass on the torch so that future generations may have a guiding light to fight on.”

Last year, Halestorm treated their fans to their Live at Wembley album. Apart from this live album, it has been three years since they released their last full-length album with original tracks, Back From the Dead.

Coming up next month, the band is set to kick off a major European tour in support of the legendary Iron Maiden. Following this, they will be hitting U.S. shores as they join forces with Volbeat for a series of shows. Additionally, they have a special performance lined up at Black Sabbath’s official farewell event in Birmingham, England, on July 5.

The song “Darkness Always Wins” is now available for streaming.
