Brooklyn’s Cash Bribe present their latest single, “Death Tax,” accompanied by a music video and a release show at Bar Freda in Queens. The track, part of the upcoming EP “Demonomics” set to drop on June 13 through Futureless, showcases a heavier, more metallic sound for the band. Produced by Zach Miller at Landmine Studios and mastered by Sasha Stroud at Artifact Audio, this new direction amplifies Cash Bribe’s signature style, blending NYHC with elements of powerviolence and punk.

Guitarist Kirk McGirk noted that “Death Tax” quickly became a crowd favorite during live performances, energizing audiences with its infectious rhythm. Lyrically, the song delves into themes of violence and entropy, offering a philosophical viewpoint on the harsh realities of existence. Vocalist Joey Dahlstrom added that the track’s concept explores the cruel and indifferent nature of the world, juxtaposed with a sense of empowering vitality.

Following their 2023 release, “Escape From New York,” Cash Bribe’s EP “Demonomics” further explores darker themes while infusing classic beatdown riffs. Tracks like “Bay of Pigs” and “Faith Aversion” confront systemic issues, critiquing billionaire control and societal complacency. Recorded at Landmine Studios and featuring artwork from Unexpected Spector and Moya Ferenchak, the limited edition “Eco Citrus” vinyl is currently available for pre-order via Quiet Panic.

In addition to their upcoming EP release, Cash Bribe has announced two live shows in New York City. Fans can catch them at The Gutter with Chemical Man and Fuckcrusher on May 10 or at Lucky 13 Saloon for their album release show on June 13 with Expollutants, Circle Breaker, and Fuckcrusher. The band, comprised of Joey Dahlstrom on vocals, Kirk McGirk on guitar, Brian Jackson on bass, and Larry Koch on drums, continues to captivate audiences with their electrifying performances and socially conscious lyrics.
