Get ready to rock out at the Stark County Fair this year as alt rock chart-toppers Theory of a Deadman take the stage on August 27th. Previous years have seen iconic rock bands like Styx and Night Ranger entertaining crowds with their timeless tunes, and now it’s Theory of a Deadman’s turn to bring their post-grunge and alt-rock sound to the fairgrounds.

Known for their chart-topping hits, Theory of a Deadman has secured the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart with songs like “Bad Girlfriend” (2008), “Lowlife” (2011), “Rx (Medicate)” (2017), and “History of Violence” (2020). Presented by BellStores, the band will kick off the concert series at the Ohio Gratings Inc. Grandstand during the fair, which is scheduled to run from August 26th to September 1st.

Sharing a musical kinship with fellow Canadian rockers Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman was signed to 604 Records, a label co-founded by Nickelback’s lead singer, Chad Kroeger. The band’s debut album in 2002 was even co-produced by Kroeger himself. Initially blending elements of heavy metal and riff-driven alt-rock, Theory of a Deadman’s sound evolved over the years to incorporate synth rock and electronic pop influences.

Paying homage to grunge rock legends like “Alice in Chains,” the band’s 2008 album, “Scars & Souvenirs,” featured a cover of one of their iconic songs, “Got Me Wrong.” Their most recent album, “Dinosaur,” released in 2023, showcases their signature guitar-heavy sound mixed with catchy alt-rock melodies, with tracks like “Medusa (Stone),” “Head In The Clouds,” “Sick,” and “Get In Line.”

In 2024, Theory of a Deadman released the single “Livin’ My Life Like a Country Song,” further solidifying their place in the rock music scene. As they gear up for their summer tour starting on May 15th at Daytona International Speedway, fans can expect a high-energy show featuring their latest hits. The tour will culminate on August 29th at the Nebraska State Fair after making stops at various venues, including the Songscape Festival in Canada on June 20th.

Tickets for Theory of a Deadman’s Stark County Fair performance are currently on sale, with prices ranging from $35 to $60 for different seating options. For fans who can’t get enough of their electrifying music, a second concert at the fair will be announced at a later date.

So mark your calendars, grab your tickets, and get ready to rock out with Theory of a Deadman at the 2025 Stark County Fair. With their infectious tunes and high-octane performances, this is one concert you won’t want to miss!
