Ghost has unveiled their newest single, “Lachryma,” from their upcoming album, Skeleta, which is set to drop on April 25. This release marks the band’s second single, showcasing the debut of Papa V Perpetua, the latest alter-ego of Ghost’s founder and frontman Tobias Forge. For fans, this album and the impending world tour will be a significant moment, as each transformation of the band brings a fresh identity and musical direction.

“Lachryma” demonstrates Ghost’s signature sound, blending captivating guitar riffs, retro synthesizers reminiscent of the 80s era, and Forge’s distinctive vocals and lyrics that define the band’s style. Following the release of “Satanized,” the first single from the album earlier this year, Ghost has also made available their tour film, Rite Here Rite Now, in digital and disc formats.

In their upcoming album, Skeleta, Ghost steers toward introspection, exploring deeply personal themes compared to their past works, which often delved into historical and societal narratives. Skeleta’s lyrics unveil individual emotional landscapes in a dialogue-like manner, offering a window into a unique and personal perspective. The album’s 10 tracks encapsulate timeless and universal emotions, delivered through Ghost’s characteristic lens.

The physical release of Skeleta will be accompanied by the Skeleta-Eve Midnight Sales events, inviting fans to celebrate the album’s arrival at participating stores globally at midnight. Attendees will have the opportunity to mark their albums with a Grucifix stamp, contributing to the tradition of midnight music releases and immersing in the Ghost experience.

Ghost’s world tour, set to kick off this April in the UK, promises full-house performances every night. Fans can secure tickets for the following tour dates across various cities in Europe and North America, experiencing Ghost’s electrifying stage presence and musicality firsthand.

As Ghost embarks on this musical journey with Skeleta, their sixth studio album, and an extensive world tour, fans can anticipate a captivating and immersive experience. With “Lachryma” and the upcoming album release, Ghost continues to captivate audiences with their unique blend of sound, poignant lyrics, and theatrical performances. Don’t miss the chance to witness Ghost’s evolution and transformation into their latest persona, Papa V Perpetua, as they bring their music to life on stage.
