Weezevent Acquires Kaboodle and Weeztix in UK and Netherlands
Weezevent, a prominent French cashless company, has recently expanded its reach in Europe through the acquisition of Kaboodle in the UK and Weeztix in the Netherlands. This strategic move aims to solidify Weezevent’s position as the leading independent event technology provider in Europe, offering a wide range of solutions with the support of dedicated local teams.
Established in 2008, Weezevent boasts a track record of serving more than 500,000 event organizers and processing over 150 million tickets across 30 countries. This extensive experience has positioned Weezevent as a reliable partner for events of varying sizes and genres. The addition of Kaboodle and Weeztix to the group’s portfolio enhances its capabilities in areas such as self-service and customized ticketing, cashless payments, access control, accreditation, and staff management.
With a team of 260 members spread across Europe and Canada, including offices in the UK and the Netherlands, Weezevent is well-equipped to offer tailored support to event organizers. This hands-on approach aims to streamline operations, boost on-site revenue, and enhance the overall attendee experience. Weezevent’s technology has already been successfully deployed at over 350 festivals and is expected to further expand with the recent acquisitions.
Despite the acquisitions, Kaboodle and Weeztix will maintain operational autonomy to ensure a seamless experience for their clients while benefiting from enhanced resources and innovative technologies. Weezevent’s offices are strategically located in key European cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Madrid, alongside a Canadian presence in Montreal. This widespread presence allows Weezevent to cater to a diverse clientele that includes renowned festivals like Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, and Hellfest, major sports clubs such as PSG and Royal Antwerp FC, as well as international events like the Formula 1 Grand Prix and the World Ski Championships.
