Jillian Shriner, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, recently found herself in a harrowing situation resulting in her being shot by the police in Los Angeles and subsequently booked for attempted murder. The incident unfolded when the LAPD was on the lookout for three individuals connected to a hit-and-run incident. On that Tuesday afternoon, one of the suspects was observed fleeing into a residential area in Eagle Rock. It was during the police investigation into this matter that the events took a dangerous turn. Jillian Shriner, aged 51, was spotted in a nearby yard holding a 9mm handgun.

Law enforcement officers immediately issued repeated commands for Shriner to drop the weapon. Shockingly, she defied these instructions and instead raised the gun in the direction of one of the officers. In response, the officers felt compelled to use lethal force, resulting in Shriner being shot. Despite the injury sustained, she managed to escape into her house for a brief moment before later emerging from the residence, where she was taken into custody by the police. She was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment of her non-life-threatening wounds.

It was later determined that Jillian Shriner had no involvement in the hit-and-run incident that had initially caught the attention of law enforcement. However, due to her actions during the confrontation with the police, she was charged with attempted murder, as raising a firearm towards an officer is a serious offense.

Jillian Shriner, also known by her maiden name Jillian Lauren, and Scott Shriner of Weezer tied the knot in 2005, a few years following Scott’s entrance into the band in 2001. The union between them has brought forth two children, representing a family household that has now been embroiled in a shocking and troubling legal matter.

As this unfortunate incident unfolds, the popular rock band Weezer, to which Scott belongs, has chosen not to comment publicly on this matter. The band is slated to perform at Coachella this coming weekend, raising questions about how this episode involving Scott Shriner’s wife might impact the band and their upcoming performance. Excitement about Weezer’s participation in the event is now overshadowed by the distressing news involving one of the band member’s families, leaving fans and the public alike speculating about the potential implications of this incident on the band’s future endeavors.
