A new video from the set of DC Studios’ Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has surfaced online, providing an enhanced look at Milly Alcock in her superhero gear and potentially revealing Jason Momoa as the villainous Lobo that the Girl of Steel will face off against.

Earlier today, we caught a first glimpse of Alcock suited up as the Girl of Steel on the London set of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and now a new video has surfaced to give us an even closer look.

The footage zeroes in on the action unfolding, offering a slightly clearer view of Alcock’s superhero costume. House of the Dragon star can be seen sporting the classic Supergirl attire complete with a cape and skirt. Additionally, the foe she’s seen confronting on top of the tank could, in fact, be Jason Momoa as Lobo!

While the details are hard to make out, this imposing figure is clearly holding his own against Kara. The character appears to be a large, pale-skinned individual with long, dark hair, brandishing a battleaxe. In the comics, Lobo is known to wield various weapons, though he typically favors a hooked chain.

DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn recently referred to the film as Supergirl in his behind-the-scenes post, with industry publications following suit in their coverage. This has sparked speculation that the “Woman of Tomorrow” subtitle may have been dropped, despite no official confirmation. This change would align with the decision to retitle “Superman: Legacy” as Superman.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will feature Eve Ridley from 3 Body Problem as Ruthye Mary Knolle, Matthias Schoenaerts from The Old Guard as Krem of the Yellow Hills, and more recently, the addition of Jason Momoa as Lobo. Krypto the Superdog is also expected to play a significant role in the film.

The film is set to hit theaters on June 26, 2026, and is expected to offer a fresh take on Kara Zor-El. This version of the character is described as a “less earnest and more edgy superheroine” as director Gunn aims to depart from previous portrayals of Supergirl.

The story will follow Kara as she embarks on a galactic journey to celebrate her 21st birthday with Krypto the Superdog, meeting Ruthye along the way and getting entangled in a quest for revenge. Gunn and producer Peter Safran announced the Supergirl reboot as part of the “Gods and Monsters” DCU slate.

Gunn emphasized that this new series will explore the contrasts between Superman and Supergirl, emphasizing the latter’s tougher upbringing on Krypton before coming to Earth as a young girl. This grittier, more hardcore version of Supergirl will offer a departure from the familiar portrayal of the character.
