The Cloverbud project involved making a blanket for a past advisor, Amber Brown, battling cancer. The meeting proceeded with the reading and approval of previous meeting minutes, as well as financial reports and discussions on community service projects.
Natalie Schlatter presented the treasurer’s report, followed by Becca’s report on the impact of sugar on the body. The club brainstormed and agreed on a community service project involving DIY flowers for nursing home residents. An ensuing discussion on fundraisers led to the approval of a bake sale at the Flat Rock Festival. With general consensus, the club moved forward with plans for the bake sale.
After approving an adjournment motion, Zoey Manz closed the meeting. Members enjoyed Rice Krispie Treats and engaged in a fun guessing game involving sticky notes. The meeting served as a testament to the club’s commitment to community service, fundraising, and a social atmosphere.
