The rock band The Dead Daisies has announced the release of their new album titled ‘Lookin’ For Trouble’ on May 30, 2025. This new album will feature Sarah Tomek on drums, alongside other band members including John Corabi on lead vocals, David Lowy and Doug Aldrich on guitars, and Michael Devin on drums. Tomek shared her excitement about being a part of the album in a post on her Facebook page on March 3, 2025, expressing her love for blues music and her enthusiasm for the upcoming release.
The tracklist for ‘Lookin’ For Trouble’ includes songs like “I’m Ready,” “Going Down,” “Boom Boom,” “Black Betty,” “The Thrill Is Gone,” “Born Under A Bad Sign,” “Crossroads,” “Sweet Home Chicago,” “Walking The Dog,” and “Little Red Rooster.” According to Plastic Head Megastore‘s website, the album was conceptualized in March 2024 while the band was working on their rock album ‘Light ‘Em Up.’ Following their recording sessions in Nashville, the band completed the album at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
FAME Studios holds a significant place in music history, having hosted legendary artists like Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, and Etta James. The band members found themselves immersed in the rich blues legacy of the studio as they transitioned from their rock sessions to impromptu jamming on blues classics. Producer Marti Frederiksen captured these magical moments, resulting in the creation of ‘Lookin’ For Trouble,’ a blues-infused album that embodies the raw energy and rebellious spirit of rock ‘n’ roll.
The band’s music video for their song “Crossroads” gives a glimpse into the sound and vibe of their upcoming album. With Tomek’s powerful drumming, Corabi’s distinct vocals, Lowy and Aldrich’s guitar skills, and Devin’s bass expertise, The Dead Daisies are poised to deliver a dynamic and captivating album that pays homage to the roots of rock music. ‘Lookin’ For Trouble’ promises to be a musical journey that blends the band’s rock influences with the soulful essence of blues, creating a unique and exciting listening experience for fans old and new.
