After a terrifying ordeal on his private plane over the Pacific Ocean, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is grateful to be safely back on solid ground. The incident occurred when Johnson was en route to Houston, Texas to kick off the new UFL season, but his plans were abruptly changed when the plane experienced a major malfunction.

Speaking on a social media platform, Johnson shared the harrowing experience he went through on the plane. He described how the pilot informed him of the issue around 35-40 minutes into the flight, leading to a decision to turn the plane back to Hawaii. Despite the panic-inducing situation, Johnson commended the captain, named Captain David, for handling the situation with calm and professionalism.

Johnson detailed that the malfunction was due to an overheating hydraulics issue, with the plane’s computer signaling that it was unsafe to continue flying over the ocean. He expressed his gratitude towards the crew for safely landing the plane back in Hawaii, attributing the incident to a sign from God and the universe. Johnson lamented missing the season opener in Houston but was ultimately thankful for the safe outcome.

Meanwhile, back in Houston, the St. Louis Battlehawks dominated the game against the Houston Roughnecks, finishing with a resounding 31-6 victory. Quarterback Manny Wilkins shone brightly, completing 17 of 22 passes for 189 yards and scoring two touchdowns on the ground. The Battlehawks’ stellar performance left fans in awe, and Johnson’s absence from the game seemed inconsequential given the lopsided outcome.

Furthermore, the 2025 UFL season opener between the Battlehawks and Roughnecks drew a meager crowd of only 7,124 spectators. This was a stark contrast to the excitement and anticipation surrounding the new season, with Johnson, as the league owner, undoubtedly disappointed to have missed such a pivotal game.

In retrospect, Johnson’s frightening experience on the plane may have been a blessing in disguise, sparing him from witnessing a lackluster game and modest attendance figures. While he may have missed out on the UFL opener, Johnson’s safe return home to Hawaii was a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment.
