Denki Groove to embark on first all-seat reserved hall tour in around three decades
Japanese electronic music band Denki Groove, marking their 36th anniversary this year, has exciting news for their fans. The band will be embarking on their first all-reserved hall tour in approximately 30 years, named “Tour the Reserved Seats.” This tour is a significant milestone for Denki Groove since their “Diarrhea Power Plant No Abnormalities” tour back in 1994. The tour will include 6 performances at 7 locations throughout Japan, including Okaya Koki Nagoya Public Hall in Aichi, Sendai Denryoku Hall in Miyagi, Mishima Civic Cultural Hall in Shizuoka, Osaka Orix Theater in Osaka, Fukuoka International Congress Center in Fukuoka, and Tachikawa Stage Garden in Tokyo. All seats for these performances are reserved, creating an exclusive and intimate concert experience for the attendees.
Denki Groove will not be alone on this tour as they will be joined by former members Yoshinori Sunahara and Satoshi Yoshida as support members. For Yoshinori Sunahara, this marks his return to a domestic tour since “TOUR Baseball Disco” in 1997. With such a rare opportunity for fans to see these iconic members together again, the excitement surrounding this tour is palpable.
DENKI GROOVE CUSTOMER CLUB members have the chance to participate in an advance lottery for ticket reservations starting from March 18th to April 6th. This exclusive opportunity allows fans to secure their seats before the general public sale, adding an extra layer of excitement for loyal followers of the band.
The tour dates and venues have been carefully selected to cover a wide geographic area in Japan, ensuring that fans from different regions have the chance to catch Denki Groove live in action. From Nagoya to Tokyo, audiences will have the opportunity to experience the energy and creativity of this legendary band up close and personal.
To provide more details, the performances will take place on various dates in June at different locations. The ticket prices are set at 12,000 yen per seat, with a student discount available at 6,000 yen. It’s important to note that refunds will not be possible except in cases of performance cancellation or postponement. This ensures that all ticket sales are final, adding to the exclusivity and importance of securing a spot at these highly anticipated concerts.
Denki Groove has a rich history dating back to its formation in 1989 by Takkyu Ishino and Pierre Taki. The band made their major debut in 1991 and has since then ventured into overseas performances, showcasing their unique sound and style to a global audience. Despite a hiatus in 2001, followed by individual solo careers, the band regrouped in 2004 and have continued to release music and perform live over the years. With a documentary movie released in 2015 and headlining performances at major festivals, Denki Groove remains a powerhouse in the Japanese music scene.
With this upcoming tour and the participation of former members, Denki Groove’s “Tour the Reserved Seats” promises to be a memorable experience for fans and a testament to the band’s enduring success over three decades.
