Jack Black and Dave Grohl collaborate on new track “I Feel Alive”
Actor and comedian Jack Black has teamed up with Foo Fighters member Dave Grohl once again to release a new rock song called ‘I Feel Alive’. The track is featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming film ‘A Minecraft Movie’. Black collaborated with British musician and DJ Mark Ronson, along with super producer Andrew Watt, who has an impressive resume, having worked with The Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, Ozzy Osbourne, and Lady Gaga.
In this musical collaboration, Black takes on the lead vocals while Grohl showcases his drumming skills. Joining them are Ronson on bass and rhythm, as well as Troy Leeuwen from Queens of Stone Age on lead guitar. This star-studded lineup promises a high-energy performance that is definitely worth a listen.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Grohl and Black have worked together. Grohl has contributed as a drummer on every studio album released by Black’s comedy project Tenacious D. However, Tenacious D had to take a break last year due to a controversial incident. Black’s co-member, Kyle Gass, made a joke about President Trump’s assassination attempt, causing a temporary halt to their musical endeavors.
Grohl himself has not been immune to controversy, having recently kept a low profile after news broke that he was expecting a baby outside of his marriage. Despite these controversies, the collaboration between Black and Grohl continues to garner attention and praise.
The film ‘A Minecraft Movie’ is set to premiere on April 4th and is generating significant buzz. The movie boasts an impressive cast including Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Sebastian Hansen, Danielle Brooks, and Jennifer Coolidge. With such a talented lineup both in the music and film industries, audiences can expect a captivating and entertaining experience.
The musical collaboration between Jack Black and Dave Grohl, accompanied by other talented musicians, is a testament to the creativity and artistry of these individuals. As fans eagerly anticipate the release of ‘A Minecraft Movie’, the partnership between these two icons is sure to leave a lasting impact on both the music and film industries.
