Incubus, a well-loved rock band, is gearing up to release their highly anticipated new album, marking their first dive back into the music scene after a substantial eight-year hiatus. Lead singer Brandon Boyd recently disclosed in an interview with Flux FM that the group has wrapped up the production of their latest album and is looking to unveil it to eager fans this year. This forthcoming record will be a significant milestone for Incubus, following their last full-length album, “8,” released back in 2017.

Boyd expressed his enthusiasm about the completion of the album, revealing that it was finalized over two months ago, fully mastered, mixed, and primed for its debut. However, he shared his hesitance about an immediate release, noting the overwhelming volume of music flooding the internet and the challenge of standing out amidst the sea of new releases. Despite this, Boyd reassured fans that the first single is on track for release within the upcoming months, with the full album slated for a potential launch in October. While specific details and the album title remain undisclosed, the anticipation continues to build within the fanbase.

Speaking about the album’s quality, Boyd expressed his pride in the band’s collaborative creation, labeling it as a “really great record” that he and his bandmates hold dear. The process of recording the album was described as a truly enjoyable experience for the group, leaving them with a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. This upcoming release also marks a new chapter for Incubus as it introduces bassist Nicole Row, who joined the group following the departure of former bass player Ben Kenney. Kenney’s exit in 2023, due to complications from a brain tumor surgery that resulted in partial hearing loss and facial paralysis, paved the way for Row to bring fresh energy and perspective to Incubus.

Incubus, known for their alternative rock and funk-metal sound, rose to fame in the ’90s and early 2000s with chart-topping hits like “Drive,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Stellar,” “Nice to Know You,” “Anna Molly,” and “Pardon Me.” The band’s dedication to their craft is evident in their decision to re-record their acclaimed 2001 album, “Morning View,” featuring Row, and releasing it to the public last year.

As anticipation for the new album builds, fans can catch Incubus performing “Morning View” in its entirety along with other chart-topping hits during their 2025 tour dates, including concerts in Uncasville, Connecticut, and Toronto in June. Tickets for these highly awaited shows are currently available on platforms like StubHub and Vivid Seats, offering fans the opportunity to experience Incubus’ timeless music live, once again.
