February Album Release Featuring Bridgeburner, Mindvac, and Jordyn Zaino
Sometime In February is a three-piece instrumental progressive-rock band hailing from the state of Carolina. The group is comprised of guitarist Tristan Auman, drummer Scott Barber, and bassist Morgan Johnson. The band initially started as a solo project by Auman and released his debut EP titled Here Goes with the help of several studio musicians. Following the EP’s release, Barber and Johnson joined the group as permanent members. In 2023, Sometime In February released their first full-length album, There Goes.
The band’s career took a significant leap in February 2024 when they signed with the esteemed progressive rock label InsideOut Music. This partnership led to the recording of their newest album, Where Mountains Hide, with renowned producer Jamie King, known for his work with Between the Buried and Me, during the summer of 2024. To celebrate the release of this highly anticipated album, Sometime In February will be performing live at Snug Harbor on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The event will also feature performances by Bridgeburner, Mindvac, and Jordyn Zaino.
Mindvac, another Charlotte-based band on the lineup, is a progressive metal group consisting of drummer Garrett Herzfeld, guitarist Syd Little, and bassist Andy Cummins. They made their mark in May of 2023 with the release of their debut self-titled EP. Joining them is Bridge Burner, a hardcore band from North Carolina that introduced themselves to the music scene with their self-titled EP in January. Rounding off the lineup is Jordyn Zaino, an indie experimental rock singer-songwriter whose musical style is a blend of genres, drawing comparisons to artists like Adult Mom and Nilüfer Yanya. Zaino’s live recording, who we weren’t, was released in 2022.
As music enthusiasts gear up for the live performances at Snug Harbor, they can also look forward to other exciting events in the music scene. Charlotte will host a variety of musical acts, including the likes of Fred Armisen on his Comedy for Musicians tour and Leon Bridges and Charley Crockett on a co-headlining “Crooner & The Cowboy” tour. Additionally, artists such as Erykah Badu, Lil Wayne, Tems, and J. Cole are set to headline the final Dreamville Fest.
In conclusion, the upcoming event at Snug Harbor promises to be a night filled with exceptional talent and unforgettable performances. Fans of progressive rock, metal, hardcore, and indie experimental rock will be treated to a diverse lineup showcasing the best of the music scene in the Carolinas. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness these incredible acts live on stage on March 26, 2025.
