Ocala’s renowned band drops 8th studio album
Ocala’s most renowned band has recently unveiled its eighth studio album, arriving almost precisely a decade subsequent to the release of “City of Ocala,” a track paying homage to their birthplace.
A Day To Remember dropped Big Ole Album Vol. 1 across streaming services on March 21. Despite a surprise rollout on February 21, the physical formats emerged only then.
In preparation for the album’s premiere, the band launched a series of singles, including “LeBron,” “Make It Make Sense,” and “Miracle,” which secured the second spot on the U.S. Hard Rock digital charts. Additionally, their track “Feedback” ascended to the fifth spot on the U.S. Main Rock charts last year.
Four years have passed since their previous studio album, You’re Welcome, attained the 15th spot in the U.S. and seventh in Germany. In 2016, their Bad Vibrations project reached number two in the U.S., peaked at number one in Australia, and secured the seventh spot in Austria and Germany.
This month, the band commemorated the tenth anniversary of their iconic song paying tribute to their locality, “City of Ocala.” Lead vocalist Jeremy McKinnon showcased a sign in downtown Ocala for the corresponding music video that was released on March 9, 2015.
A Day To Remember, founded in 2003, presently consists of lead vocalist Jeremy McKinnon, lead guitarist Kevin Skaff, drummer Alex Shelnutt, and guitarist Neil Westfall.
