Political activists known as Led By Donkeys are making a bold statement against Elon Musk and Tesla through a creative new video campaign. Using a Tesla vehicle, they inscribed a massive message on Black Rock Sands beach in Wales. This video, shared on March 17, quickly gained traction, garnering over 30,000 views and attracting the attention of various media outlets.

The video’s caption reads, “Thousands of people are ditching Tesla. Here’s one of them with a message you can see from space.” This demonstration is just one facet of Led By Donkeys’ ongoing efforts to challenge Musk’s politics and the implications for Tesla as a brand.

The backlash against Musk and Tesla has taken various forms, such as the destruction of 20 vehicles at Tesla’s Belfast dealership and organized protests in major U.S. cities. Despite this sentiment, Tesla’s used car sales in the UK have surged to record-breaking levels. In February alone, 2,690 Teslas were sold, marking a 112% increase from the previous year’s sales figures.

However, Tesla’s new car sales across Europe have experienced a notable 45% decline, dropping from 18,161 to 9,945 units year-on-year in January. This decline is reflected in the brand’s share price, which has seen a 9% decrease amid controversies surrounding Musk’s public appearances.
