Collaborating with co-directors Jason Engelman and Justin Frech, the “Abilene” music video was filmed entirely in the picturesque town of Abilene, Texas, known for its charming storybook-like ambiance. Drawing inspiration from authentic love letters that Martin stumbled upon in a rental property, “Abilene” narrates a poignant story of enduring love, separation due to war, heartache, and the profound emotional bond individuals share with a particular place. Through the video, two couples portrayed by Theresa Rowley & Ricco Fajardo in modern times and Cheyenne Haynes & Blake Blair in the 1940s have their tales intricately woven together.
