Country singer Tori Martin is experiencing a wave of success as her latest track “Abilene” climbs to the impressive #6 spot on the Texas Regional Radio Report. To accompany this heartfelt song, Martin has unveiled a visually captivating music video that is now available for viewing on her YouTube channel.

Collaborating with co-directors Jason Engelman and Justin Frech, the “Abilene” music video was filmed entirely in the picturesque town of Abilene, Texas, known for its charming storybook-like ambiance. Despite facing unexpected cold weather during the shoot in February, the video seamlessly intertwines stunning visuals, authentic period costumes, and iconic locations to seamlessly transport viewers between the contemporary era and the nostalgic 1940s.

Drawing inspiration from authentic love letters that Martin stumbled upon in a rental property, “Abilene” narrates a poignant story of enduring love, separation due to war, heartache, and the profound emotional bond individuals share with a particular place. Through the video, two couples portrayed by Theresa Rowley & Ricco Fajardo in modern times and Cheyenne Haynes & Blake Blair in the 1940s have their tales intricately woven together. The filming locations, including Larry’s Better Burger Drive-In, the historic Paramount Theatre, and the Texas & Pacific Railroad Depot, lend an air of authenticity and emotional depth to the storyline.

The video’s most poignant moments feature Martin in a solo performance on a windswept, barren highway, visually encapsulating the wistfulness and nostalgia encapsulated in the song’s lyrics.

As a co-writer of “Abilene” alongside Bill DiLuigi, Kirsti Manna, and producer Bill Warner, Tori Martin recalls the genesis of the song during a particular radio tour where she exclaimed her unrest with the windy conditions in the town. This moment sparked the idea, propelling the track beyond expectations and surpassing the success of her previous Texas Regional Radio #1 hit from 2024, “Lost In The Country.”

Expressing gratitude for her success on Texas radio, Martin shares her excitement at being nominated for New Female Vocalist of the Year at the Texas Regional Radio Report Awards. She is also set to grace the stage at the TRRR Awards show in Arlington, TX on March 24.

With “Abilene” steadily climbing the charts and an upcoming performance at the TRRR Awards, Martin is diligently preparing for her next album, currently in development. Fans can immediately view the “Abilene” music video and stream the single on various prominent platforms to enjoy Martin’s latest offering.
