PVRIS Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Re-release of First Album ‘White Noise’
PVRIS commemorated the milestone of their debut album, White Noise, by releasing a special 10-year anniversary edition. The collection showcases rerecorded tracks by Lynn Gunn, the band’s frontwoman and current solo artist. PVRIS is also embarking on a tour to celebrate this significant occasion.
Originally forming in late 2014, PVRIS started as a trio consisting of Lynn Gunn, Brian MacDonald on bass, and Alex Babinsk on guitar. However, Gunn took her initial steps as a solo performer with the release of their latest album, Evergreen, in 2023. The band’s evolution has been notable, with each album marking a progression in their musical journey.
White Noise has been a standout album for PVRIS, featuring memorable tracks like “St. Patrick,” “You and I,” “Fire,” and “My House,” often serving as the grand finale at their concerts. This time around, the album included a remix of “My House” featuring Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox, adding a fresh twist to the well-loved song.
Reflecting on the album’s enduring impact, Gunn expressed gratitude to fans in a heartfelt Instagram post earlier this year. Gunn mentioned the disbelief at the album’s lasting resonance and the lack of a stylist during the early days of the band, jokingly remarking about past hair and outfit choices. She elaborated on the humble beginnings of White Noise, noting that it was crafted in a modest studio but has since left a lasting impression on listeners over the past decade.
The anniversary reissue of White Noise not only celebrates PVRIS’s musical achievements but also gives fans a chance to rediscover the magic of their debut album. With Gunn at the helm as a solo artist now, the band continues to innovate and captivate audiences with their distinct sound and artistic vision. As PVRIS embarks on this tour, fans can expect a nostalgic yet fresh interpretation of White Noise, setting the stage for another successful chapter in the band’s storied career.
