During the Recording Academy’s Austin Chapter Block Party on March 12, Simpson performed and took a moment to reflect on her musical journey. “I needed to remember who I was and why I wanted to sing in the first place and all the music that inspires me and I need to forget who they told me to be,” she shared before debuting her new song, “Breadcrumbs.” According to a video shared on X, the track is part of Simpson’s upcoming country EP, “Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1.” The user who posted the video expressed admiration, stating that Simpson “sounded amazing” and declared their love for her.

In addition to presenting her new material, Simpson delighted fans by performing some of her past hits. With her debut album, “Sweet Kisses,” released in 1999, she achieved success with hit singles like “I Wanna Love You Forever,” “Where You Are,” and “I Think I’m in Love with You.” Subsequent albums like “Irresistible” in 2001, “In This Skin” in 2003, and “Happy Christmas” in 2010 further solidified her career.
