Shinedown’s Song ‘Dance, Kid, Dance’ Tops Rock Charts, Spring Tour Announced
Shinedown achieved another milestone with their single “Dance, Kid, Dance” reaching the top spot on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart. The track gained significant traction with 2,007 radio spins, marking a 123-spin increase compared to the previous week. This accomplishment solidifies Shinedown’s position with a total of 20 number-one hits, putting them in line with Foo Fighters, both boasting 32 tracks in the top-ten list.
In addition to their success with “Dance, Kid, Dance,” Shinedown’s track “Three Six Five” is also making waves across multiple charts. The song climbed to No. 17 on the Alternative chart and No. 16 on Hot AC radio. It has also garnered attention in the UK, receiving heavy rotation on Planet Rock and Kerrang Radio. Bassist Eric Bass revealed during an interview with Blabbermouth that “Three Six Five” was inspired by personal tragedies, including the loss of family members and close friends within a short period of time. The emotional depth of the song resonates with listeners and underscores Shinedown’s ability to turn personal experiences into poignant rock anthems.
Both “Dance, Kid, Dance” and “Three Six Five” were produced by Eric Bass at Big Animal Studio in Charleston. The seamless blend of raw emotion and polished production in these tracks showcases the band’s musical prowess and storytelling ability. Shinedown’s upcoming “Dance, Kid, Dance” tour is highly anticipated, set to commence on April 25 with 36 scheduled dates, including performances at renowned venues like Madison Square Garden and Bridgestone Arena. The tour will feature special appearances by rock bands BEARTOOTH and BUSH on select shows, along with country singer Morgan Wade performing throughout the tour.
