Rock enthusiasts are invited to show their support for a charitable cause as a three-day rock music festival makes its return to Wolverhampton in April. The annual Mayors Fest, organized by Wolverhampton Council and spearheaded by Mayor Councillor Linda Leach, aims to raise funds for three local charities. Last year, the event managed to raise over £6,000 for the designated organizations.

Scheduled to take place on 4th April, the festival will span across two different venues in the city. The opening night at The Giffard Arms on Victoria Street will feature a headlining performance by Doomsday Outlaw, followed by Massive Wagons gracing the main stage at KK’s Steel Mill on Frederick Street the following day. Attendees can look forward to captivating performances by other bands such as the Virginmarys, Gin Annie, The Karma Effect, Takeaway Thieves, White Tyger, and Soul Revival.

Expressing her excitement for the upcoming event, Mayor Linda Leach encouraged music lovers to join in on the festivities. She emphasized, “If you like your music live and loud then please come along and have a great time.” The chosen beneficiaries of this year’s festival include the Beacon Centre, Age UK Wolverhampton, and The Samaritans Wolverhampton, organizations that play vital roles in the local community.

Acknowledging the efforts of organizer Doddy White and his team, Mayor Leach commended their dedication and hard work in bringing the festival to fruition. In support of the cause, she expressed her intention to make an appearance at KK’s Steel Mill on the second day of the event. Reflecting on the significance of contributing to charitable causes, she highlighted the sense of fulfillment in knowing that every attendee’s participation would contribute to the well-being of the local community.

With an impressive lineup of bands and a noble cause at its core, the Mayors Fest presents attendees with a unique opportunity to enjoy live music while making a positive impact. The event promises a vibrant atmosphere filled with energetic performances and enthusiastic supporters coming together for the greater good.

As the festival approaches, rock enthusiasts are encouraged to mark their calendars and show their support for the community. By attending the Mayors Fest, attendees not only get to indulge in their love for rock music but also play a part in giving back to those in need. Join in on the excitement and be a part of this charitable initiative that aims to make a difference in the lives of many through the power of music.
