Mt. Fuji festival to feature stunning fireworks and cherry blossoms for unforgettable evening
In an unconventional move, The Zekkei Fireworks organizers have chosen to stage their event in the spring, breaking away from the typical summer schedule. The reason behind this decision is to provide guests with a unique experience by combining the beauty of fireworks with the blossoming of cherry trees. With the event set to take place on April 19, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a spectacular display of fireworks against the backdrop of the iconic Mt. Fuji, creating a triple visual delight for attendees.
The Zekkei Fireworks, which translates to “beautiful scenery,” will be held at the scenic Fujiten Resort area situated halfway up the slopes of Mt. Fuji. This picturesque location will host four renowned Japanese fireworks producers, each contributing their exceptional creations to the event. Among the participating companies is Nagano Prefecture’s Beniya Aoki Fireworks, established 109 years ago. Interestingly, Beniya Aoki is considered the youngest participant, as other Japanese fireworks producers such as Yamanashi’s Saiki, Aichi’s Isogai, and Gunma’s Kikuya Obata have been around for 124, 138, and 153 years, respectively. Additionally, two international fireworks companies, Spain’s Ricasa Riardo Caballero and America’s Pyro Spectaculars, founded in 1881 and 1906, will also join the lineup.
The organizers aim to set The Zekkei Fireworks apart from Japan’s major fireworks festivals by offering a less hectic and congested environment. All viewing areas will require tickets for entry, ensuring that attendees can enjoy unobstructed views of the fireworks without the need to jostle for a good spot. With this focus on providing a premium experience, the event boasts a limited availability of only 3,000 seats, catering to a select audience that values quality entertainment.
Ticket prices for The Zekkei Fireworks reflect the exclusive nature of the event, with the most affordable single-person Standard Ticket priced at 30,000 yen (US$199). For those looking to share the experience, pairs of Standard Tickets can be purchased for 55,000 yen, while a group of four can obtain tickets for 111,000 yen. The most luxurious option, the VVIP Seats, offers a premium experience with gourmet food service included, priced at 200,000 yen per seat. The venue opens at 4 p.m. on April 19, with the fireworks display commencing at 6:30 p.m., promising an unforgettable evening of beauty and entertainment for all attendees.
