Troon Winter Storm Breaks Record with Advance Sales for 2025
The popular WinterStorm rock festival in Troon has exceeded its previous record for advance sales, with over 400 tickets already sold before any band names are announced. This annual festival of rock music takes place at Troon Concert Hall at the end of November. The early pre-sale for the three-day event is open to previous attendees and offers a unique refund guarantee for those unhappy with the lineup.
Ian McCaig, the festival organizer, expressed his initial uncertainty about selling tickets without a confirmed lineup. However, due to fans needing to secure accommodation early, the refund guarantee was created to build trust with attendees. This approach has proven successful, with nearly half of the three-day ticket capacity being sold in January. Moreover, close to 40% of tickets were bought by music fans from outside of Scotland, contributing positively to the area’s tourism sector.
The festival’s lineup, to be revealed in March, promises a diverse selection of classic rock, blues, melodic, and legendary artists. With two stages, attendees can enjoy both well-known names in rock music and up-and-coming artists. The remaining tickets will be made available to the public sale after being offered to the WinterStorm mailing list.
Siobhian Brown, MSP for Ayr, Prestwick, and Troon, commended WinterStorm for its contributions to the local community and economy. She highlighted how the festival has grown from its inception in 2016 to become a significant event attracting established and emerging talent. The support from the local community, including volunteers, suppliers, and hospitality services, has been crucial to the festival’s success.
Troon takes pride in hosting WinterStorm, an internationally recognized event showcasing the best in music and hospitality. Brown expressed her best wishes for the festival’s future success. The festival has become a cornerstone of the Troon community, bringing economic benefits and acclaim to the town and surrounding areas.
As the lineup is awaited eagerly, rock fans can stay updated by signing up for the WinterStorm newsletter. The festival continues to be a testament to the power of music to bring communities together and support emerging talent in the rock genre. WinterStorm’s impact on the local area and beyond is a testament to the passion and dedication of its organizers and supporters, ensuring its ongoing success and future growth.
