Iconic heavy metal band reveals massive concert in Scotland
The heavy metal icons, Disturbed and Megadeth, have confirmed an enormous Scottish concert for later this year. Set to take place at the OVO Hydro on October 28, tickets for this highly anticipated event will go on sale shortly.
With a remarkable music career marked by over 17 million album sales and 14 billion streams, Disturbed has experienced unparalleled success. Their standout hit, “Down With The Sickness,” achieved 8x platinum certification and has been streamed a staggering 2.5 billion times globally. Formed in 1994, the band has released eight studio albums, five of which have claimed the number one spot on the US charts. Furthermore, their cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s classic, “The Sound Of Silence,” has also garnered significant attention.
Celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album, “The Sickness,” Disturbed is gearing up for an unforgettable show in Glasgow. Lead singer David Draiman expressed the band’s desire to collaborate with Kendrick Lamar following the rapper’s electrifying Super Bowl halftime performance. Draiman emphasized the track’s message of unity and bringing people together, highlighting Lamar as a potential collaborator for this empowering project.
Megadeth, the trailblazing thrash metal group formed in 1983, will support Disturbed at their Glasgow concert. Securing a record deal with Capitol Records, Megadeth achieved platinum status with their 1986 album and soared to commercial success with their 1992 release, “Countdown to Extinction.” Despite frontman Dave Mustaine’s personal struggles, including a 1990 arrest for driving under the influence, the band continued to produce groundbreaking music. Their most recent album, “The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead!” was launched three years ago.
Fans can secure standard tickets for the event starting from February 28 at 10 am, with presale options available on February 27 at 10 am. This monumental show promises to be a must-see for rock music enthusiasts in Glasgow and beyond.
