Fred to make Asia debut alongside Vampire Weekend, Tatsuro Yamashita, and Vulfpeck

ock is gearing up for a phenomenal 25th-anniversary celebration from July 25 to 27 at Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa Town, Niigata Prefecture. The festival’s organizers have curated an impressive lineup for this milestone edition.

The first day of the festival will showcase the Asian debut of acclaimed producer Fred again.., alongside popular acts such as jazz collective Ezra Collective, indie supergroup HYUKOH & Sunset Rollercoaster, American band OK Go, electronic musician Tycho, and Japanese favorites Suchmos and Vaundy. The diverse lineup promises an exciting start to the festival.

Day two will feature the highly-anticipated performance of funk band Vulfpeck on Japanese soil for the first time. Joining them are legendary producer Four Tet, city pop pioneer Tatsuro Yamashita in his festival debut, English alt-R&B artist James Blake, Mercury Prize nominee Barry Can’t Swim, and more. The second day is set to be a mix of funk, pop, and electronic music that will captivate audiences.

Closing out the festival on day three are returning favorites Vampire Weekend, the talented HAIM sisters, J-rock icons RADWIMPS, hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts, The Hives from Sweden, and British indie group English Teacher. This final day offers a perfect blend of genres, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

With approximately 60 acts announced in the first wave of announcements, Fuji Rock promises that there are more surprises to come. Early-bird tickets for all three days are priced at ¥49,000, with special advance tickets offering flexibility for attendees who may wish to attend only one day. Day passes start at ¥24,000, and night tickets on Friday are available for ¥16,000 for those wanting to experience the festival’s kickoff. General ticket sales will see prices increase slightly, with three-day passes at ¥59,000 and one-day passes at ¥25,000.
