ONE OK ROCK releases new album ‘DETOX’ to provide an escape from reality – Listen
ONE OK ROCK returns with their newest album, DETOX, released on February 21, 2025. Following the successful Luxury Disease album released in 2022, DETOX is the band’s 11th studio album. Popular singles from Luxury Disease, such as “Renegades” and “Wonder,” set high expectations for DETOX. Additionally, 2025 marks ONE OK ROCK’s 20th anniversary, elevating the significance of this album’s release.
Leading up to the album release, ONE OK ROCK unveiled four singles: “Delusion: All,” “Dystopia,” “+Matter,” and the most recent one, “Puppets Can’t Control You,” released on January 19, 2025. A music video for “Tropical Therapy,” the third track on the album, is set to be released tonight at 10:00 PM (PHT). This song aims to provide an escape from the harsh realities of life, resonating with many listeners.
DETOX was created with the collaboration of several acclaimed producers, including Rob Cavallo, a three-time Grammy winner known for his work with Green Day. Other notable producers involved in the album are Dan Lancaster, associated with Bring Me The Horizon and Blink-182, and Pete Nappi, linked with Jon Batiste. Similar to their previous albums since 2015’s 35xxxv, ONE OK ROCK presents DETOX in two versions: an international edition with English lyrics and a Japanese variation with a blend of Japanese and English lyrics.
ONE OK ROCK held a sold-out show in Manila in September 2023 to support their Luxury Disease album. This event marked their third concert in the Philippines, following concerts in 2018 for Ambitions and in 2015 for 35xxxv. Despite plans for a 2020 Manila concert as part of their ‘Eye Of The Storm’ tour being disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the band has remained dedicated to their global fanbase.
