Nate Smith Unveils Celebrity Cast in New Video – Not a Musician

Country artist Nate Smith revealed on Wednesday that actor and comedian Kevin James will star in his upcoming music video, set to be released later in the week.

Smith had previously disclosed that HARDY would be his mystery collaboration partner, dropping hints on social media and challenging followers to guess the next surprise guest in the video for his song “Nobody Likes Your Girlfriend.” Fans correctly guessed James, while digital creator Amanda Mertz and Internet personality Sophia La Corte will also make appearances in the video, according to Smith’s announcement.

The music video for “Nobody Likes Your Girlfriend” is scheduled for release on Friday.

The collaboration with HARDY marks Smith’s latest musical endeavor since releasing his sophomore album, California Gold, in October. The album features tracks like “Fix What You Didn’t Break,” a duet with Avril Lavigne titled “Can You Die From a Broken Heart,” “Bulletproof,” and “I Like It” featuring Alesso, among others. Following his self-titled debut album and its deluxe edition in 2023, Smith hinted at more new music on the horizon in a recent interview with iHeartCountry.

Smith is set to join the star-studded lineup of the 2025 iHeartCountry Festival, which is slated to take place on Saturday, May 3. Hosted by iHeartRadio’s Bobby Bones, the festival will return to the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Other artists scheduled to perform include Brooks & Dunn, Thomas Rhett, Rascal Flatts, Sam Hunt, Megan Moroney, Bailey Zimmerman, and Cole Swindell.

Hulu will serve as the Official Streaming Destination for the festival, providing exclusive livestreams of performances to all Hulu subscribers at no extra charge. Fans can catch all the action live on May 3 at 8pm ET/5pm PT (7pm CT) across iHeartCountry stations nationwide and on the free iHeartRadio app via iHeartRadio’s iHeartCountry station.
