t of her long-time residence in New York City to settle in a sprawling 600-acre farm upstate in Franklin, a property that she and Lennon acquired in 1978. Although previously a frequent visitor to the farm, recent reports suggest that Yoko now resides there permanently, while still maintaining ownership of her iconic Dakota apartment.

Yoko’s life as a mother has been an integral part of her story, having welcomed her son, Sean Ono Lennon, during her marriage to John Lennon. Sean, now 49, has followed in his father’s footsteps as a musician, songwriter, and producer, taking charge of managing his mother’s charities and his father’s estate. Recently, Sean received a Grammy Award for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package for his work on repackaging his father’s album, Mind Games.

Apart from Sean, Yoko also shares a daughter, Kyoko Ono Cox, now 61, with her previous husband, Anthony Cox. Their relationship was strained for many years due to Yoko’s divorce and a custody battle with Cox. However, they reconnected in Kyoko’s twenties and have occasionally appeared together publicly, although Kyoko prefers to stay out of the limelight. Additionally, Yoko is a stepmother to Lennon’s first son, Julian, now 61, with Cynthia, his first wife. Despite a rocky start, Julian and Yoko have developed a closer bond over the years, with Julian becoming a musician, philanthropist, and forming a tight-knit relationship with Sean.

While details about Yoko’s current life are scarce, sources indicate that she occasionally revisits The Dakota, as evidenced by recent photos shared by Julian during a family reunion at the famous building. Sean recently shared insights about his mother’s continued fascination with spiritual and mystical elements, such as crystals and tarot, portraying her as deeply entrenched in cosmic beliefs, akin to a “good witch.”

Reports suggest that Yoko has faced health challenges in recent years, although there has been no official confirmation from Yoko or her children regarding specific details. Recent sightings show her using a wheelchair during public appearances, further indicating possible health issues. Yoko’s last known public appearance was in July 2019, where she opened the Manchester International Festival via video message and appeared in person for the launch of Come Together NYC in September 2018 alongside Ringo Starr and Jeff Bridges.
