Local artist Tommy Castro believes everyone enjoys blues music, even if they are not aware of it.

“There may be a lot more blues in the new setlist, but we’ll play all styles, some rock tunes, some soul songs. We love mixing it up. Everybody likes the blues; they just don’t know it. The blues is the foundation of so much great music — it’s all connected.”

Tommy Castro and the Painkillers will perform at the Shea Theater Arts Center at 71 Avenue A in Turners Falls on Saturday, Feb. 22.
