CREED and Nickelback announce summer festival returning to 1999 and beyond
CREED and Nickelback have officially announced the highly anticipated return of the Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival for 2025. After experiencing a surge in popularity and an enthusiastic response to their reunion, CREED is ready to kick off the festival for the second year in a row. Celebrating the anthems of a generation, this high-energy rock festival is a testament to the enduring demand for live rock music.
Following the remarkable success of last year’s sold-out inaugural event in San Bernardino, this year’s festival is gearing up to be even more spectacular. Expanding to a two-day extravaganza, the festival will showcase CREED and Nickelback as co-headliners. This marks a significant moment as these two rock titans are sharing a stage for the first time since 1999.
Scheduled to take place at the iconic Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, WI, on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19, this venue holds a special place in the hearts of both bands. It signifies the 25th anniversary of CREED’s debut performance there in 2000 and Nickelback’s first appearance at the location in 2007. The setting promises to be the ideal backdrop for these iconic bands to reunite and deliver an unforgettable rock experience.
The festival lineup is filled with powerhouse acts that promise to deliver electrifying performances. Friday, July 18, will feature Nickelback as the headliner, along with +LIVE+, Daughtry, Tonic, Our Lady Peace, and Lit. On Saturday, July 19, CREED will take the stage as the headliner, supported by 3 Doors Down, Sevendust, Mammoth WVH, Hinder, Vertical Horizon, and Fuel.
For fans eager to secure their spot at this epic event, two-day tickets will go on sale through an Artist Presale starting Wednesday, February 19, at 10 AM CST. Additional presales will be available throughout the week, with general ticket sales opening on Friday, February 21, at 10 AM CST via Ticketmaster. Fans also have the option to purchase add-ons such as parking, VIP club access, and exclusive VIP experiences.
CREED, formed in Tallahassee, Florida, in 1994, has become a cornerstone of rock music in the late ’90s and early 2000s. With a massive following and over 53 million albums sold worldwide, the band achieved RIAA Diamond-certified status for their groundbreaking album, Human Clay. Hits like “Higher,” “My Sacrifice,” and “With Arms Wide Open” continue to resonate with audiences old and new. After an 11-year hiatus, CREED made a triumphant comeback in 2023 and embarked on a successful tour across North America.
Nickelback, inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2023, has maintained its position as a force to be reckoned with in rock music for over 20 years. With global album sales exceeding 50 million copies and a string of chart-topping hits including “How You Remind Me,” “Photograph,” and “Rockstar,” Nickelback is considered one of the most successful rock bands in history. The release of their documentary, “Hate to Love: Nickelback,” in 2023 further cemented their legacy by documenting their journey through the highs and lows of rock stardom.
With a stellar lineup and the return of two rock legends, the Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival 2025 is poised to be an unforgettable experience. Fans can anticipate two days of incredible performances, timeless anthems, and a celebration of rock music that defined an era.
