The city of Toronto is buzzing with excitement this week as some can’t-miss concerts are set to take place from February 17 to 23. While some provinces are celebrating Family Day or other holidays, live music enthusiasts have plenty of shows to look forward to in the 416.

Counterparts will kick things off on February 17 with their Heaven Let Them Die tour. Hailing from Hamilton, the band is not only showcasing their latest material but also bringing together a diverse lineup featuring UK metalcore band Malevolence, US hardcore punks Pain of Truth, and melodic metallers Foreign Hands. This tour promises to be a who’s-who of the heavy music scene across the continent.

Nemahsis, the GTA-area songwriter formerly known as Nemah Hasan, will be taking the stage at Danforth Music Hall on February 18 and 19. From being dropped by her label due to her pro-Palestine advocacy to self-releasing her debut album Verbathim and receiving JUNO nominations, Nemahsis is on a remarkable journey that now includes back-to-back nights at the iconic venue.

Belarusian post-punks Molchat Doma will bring their unique sound to History on February 19 as part of their North American tour in support of their album Belaya Polosa. Known for their sci-fi dancefloor hymns that match the brutalist aesthetics of their album art, the band is set to deliver a memorable performance at this event.

Father John Misty will take the stage at Massey Hall on February 21, but he may face stiff competition from Dan Bejar’s Destroyer, who will be opening for him. Despite the possibility of being upstaged, attendees can expect an evening filled with real love and exceptional music from both artists.

Concluding the week, Dear Rouge will be performing at The Opera House on February 22. The Vancouver duo, comprised of Danielle and Drew McTaggart, is known for their energetic pop-rock anthems, particularly from their latest record Lonesome High. Attendees can look forward to a night of high vibrations in the grand setting of The Opera House’s proscenium arch.

With a lineup featuring a diverse range of musical genres and talents, Toronto’s music scene is set to shine bright this week with these can’t-miss concerts that promise unforgettable evenings for live music enthusiasts.
