DS Exclusive: Have a listen to a song from the reissued vinyl of “¡Muerto, Carcel, O Rocanrol!” by the Huntingtons.

The Huntingtons, known for their Ramonescore style, will be releasing a reissue of their 2020 album, ¡Muerto, Carcel, O Rocanrol!, on February 28th. We are thrilled to share track #6, “Not Penny’s Boat,” with you. The entire album has been newly remixed by Perry Leenhouts at Point Break Sound. Take a look at the music video below!

You can now preorder ¡Muerto, Carcel, O Rocanrol! Renacido on white and clear vinyl variants from Striped Music in Italy, as well as directly from Mom’s Basement Records and Burnt Toast Vinyl in the US.

Let’s delve into the rationale behind the Huntingtons’ decision to revamp their album just five years after its initial release:

In 2020, we released an album that we believed was our best work yet. However, the mix of a record can significantly impact its reception. The original mix was rushed, leading us to view it as a collection of songs we seldom performed live. Fast forward five years, and Perry Leenhouts at Point Break Sound gave the mix a fresh perspective. Entrusting him with the files and creative freedom, we are pleased with how he transformed the album into “Renacido” (Reborn).

Our partnership with Punk Rock Radar has facilitated the unveiling of this exclusive track.
